We previously reviewed another room from Puzzah! in Broomfield, CO. If you haven’t already done so, check out our write-up of The Curse to get more information about the overall Puzzah! Broomfield experience.

As we were led down the hall into M.A.S.K., we weren’t sure what to expect when we walked in the room, since the entrance door to the room lacked décor. However, once we were led inside, we felt like we were about to embark on a mission in a room filled with display cases and a set that makes you feel like you are in a spy lab. Once the room narration started, it confirmed our feeling of purpose along with sharing details about our mission.

The group collaboration begins right away with the puzzles and the need for collaboration is great throughout the entire game. We found the puzzles to be varied in style which is great for a group with different puzzle preferences. Some of the puzzles caused confusion, but we were able to solve them with some guessing and assumptions. The puzzles fit with the theme of the room and felt like each puzzle contributed to the storyline. However, we felt that some of the puzzles went a little too long that they felt repetitive, even though they were fun puzzles.

While we loved our experience in M.A.S.K., we did find the noise leaked in from a group that started after us and could lead to some distractions depending on the group size and volume.

That being said it was well put together for an adventure room and one of the most fun we’ve had in a puzzle room due to the story line and thematic puzzles and sets! We recommend this room for groups of all ages that want to have fun working together to save the world.

Final Verdict:

8.5/10
