Talk about a trip down memory lane! This room left our team wanting to throw on some overalls and jelly sandals, take care of our Tamagotchis, and get jiggy with it. We loved traveling back to the nineties in this fun and challenging escape room.

Escape Challenge is well-located in a strip mall with plenty of parking available. The lobby of this place was incredible. Between all the games, mini-escape challenges, and even an Atari console, there was plenty to do while we hung out before and after our adventures. The staff was very friendly and great at the various tasks they needed to perform. For this experience, there was a funny pre-room video introduction that was entertaining and set-up our tasks perfectly.

In order to help out The Bronze Corporation, we needed to travel back to the 1990s to fix a slip up in the space time continuum. When we entered the Time Machine, it was clear how much work had been put into that particular set piece. It was nice to see the technological elements work so well with the design. Once we set our course to the correct date, we were then transported directly into the nineties.

There was a high nostalgia factor with this room for our entire group as most of us had spent our childhoods or young adult years during that decade. All of the props and references in the puzzles had us remembering things from that time. We also loved the music playing favorite pop songs from the past including NSYNC, The Spice Girls, and Nirvana. There were moments when we found ourselves singing and dancing along to the tunes while we were searching for clues.

When it came to the actual puzzles in the room, we liked that there was a range of difficulty. Our objective and story was clear from the beginning, although there were some instances where the solutions were a bit abstract. Every single person in our group loved the reward system in the room, which consisted of earning candy when you were on the right track. Solving puzzles with a ring pop on your finger was a blast! There was also a unique way to ask for clues since we had travelled back in time that was a nice touch.

We escaped this room just in the nick of time with four experienced players. Therefore, we would suggest a group of 4-6 for intermediate to advanced escapers, and 7-8 for beginners. This room lends itself to a lot of teamwork with the amount of puzzles to solve, so it would be great for a team building exercise; especially if the members of the group grew up during the nineties! Escape Challenge St. Louis is a great company to contact when planning an escape and we hope you will go check them out!

Get out and Escape! Drinks are for Winners!

Love this room! My husband and I tackled it late one Saturday night by ourselves and escaped!
