The Chicago team took a road trip up to Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, near Milwaukee. The location was easy to find, had shops and restaurants nearby, and there was ample parking. The lobby had plenty of comfortable couches, brain teasers, and games to play with while we waited. In addition, they had refreshments for sale, multiple bathrooms, a party room, and incredibly welcoming and friendly staff. The briefing was done by the game master in the hallway outside of the room or the party room, depending on space.

In this room, we loved being separated and confined, and the voice communication system made the room feel more realistic. There was not a lot in terms of search-and-find, and the props themselves were somewhat minimal. With that being said, there were a few throwbacks to the movie that we enjoyed seeing. Many of the props were high quality, and the mechanisms of the game helped us feel immersed (it would help to have seen the movie for some parts of this room). It is important in this game more than others that you have good communication skills, or some players might be left out of gameplay at certain points.

We did like many of the puzzles and the fact that there was a lot of variety, however some of the puzzles took a long time to complete. The number of puzzles and length of some puzzles makes us think this room would be better for a group of 5-6 players, rather than a smaller group. We had a great time in this room and we loved many elements of it—for us, a larger group, some extra breadcrumbs, and easier communication would have helped!

Final Verdict:

7.8/10
