Located in a popular mall in the northern suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, you’ll find 60 to Escape. Their location is easy to find, surrounded by many shops to visit, and it’s a quick walk to many food and ice cream choices – who doesn’t get hungry while escaping? While the lobby itself was minimal, only having 4 chairs and not a whole lot to do, what lacks in the lobby is more than made up for in the escape rooms themselves! We were greeted by a few employees as we walked in, and we instantly felt welcomed and excited to begin our adventure. The employees we talked to were so personable and friendly, the customer service was outstanding. We were also able to meet the owner who was so down-to-earth, easy to talk to, and genuinely excited about each of his rooms for different reasons. We couldn’t wait to get started.

As with their other rooms, we began our adventure with a video that tells important information about the game, and allows you to become immersed in the story. We felt like we were in a museum from the moment we walked in! The set was captivating and up to the standards of their other rooms, which are all consistently beyond our expectations! In this room, our group of four instantaneously split into two groups of two, which does not always happen in rooms we play. Some of us began tackling puzzles and riddle/word-based puzzles, while the others worked with the technology and number-based puzzles. This was in no way necessary, but it helped us to navigate the room more quickly and simultaneously. Larger groups would have no problem finding enough to do, and smaller groups can also work their way through this room, as well.

Once our two groups of two had finished their separate puzzles and tasks, we came together and completed the remainder of the room as a cohesive team, loving every single second of it! There were some puzzles that were harder than others, but all of them made sense. In addition, we were all working on something so there was no member just watching or bored. We loved this room and had a great time acting as thieves and stealing the (giant) diamond!

Final Verdict:

8.8/10
