We walked into Escape Goat and were pleased to be welcomed in a professional and welcoming lobby. We enjoyed the posters for the games that they currently have available as well as the details in the décor such as a chandelier made out of keys! What we loved most of all were that the owners were so welcoming and easy to talk to which added to our experience and it wasn’t just our group it was all groups that come in. They are fans turned owners and they love to chat the escape room business. Fun detail, be sure to check out the sign in the lobby to see if there are any additional challenges you can do in your room to win a spot on their lock wall!

Camp Echo is a children’s camp theme, which is not a theme we see very often in escape rooms. We were briefed prior to walking in by an employee with the storyline and spooky history about the camp. Walking into the room, we knew we were in for something fun and different because of two things. First, we were greeted by our camp counselor upon entering. One thing to note about Escape Goat is that they do have in room game masters. Most of us were apprehensive about that, but this is not an awkward experience at all. They are a natural part of the game and storyline. The second thing that we noticed right away was how bright, colorful, and cheery the room was. It was impossible not to smile by looking at the décor alone.

Camp Echo is currently Escape Goat’s easiest game, and as experienced players, we flew through the room, but that’s not to say we didn’t get stumped along the way. We appreciated that the puzzles were all appropriate to the camp theme, and while the props appear simple, they all play into the room theme and story. This room is non-linear which we all enjoyed as it kept our group fully engaged with something at all times.

The room theme alone is reason to visit Camp Echo, fantastically themed and truly makes you feel like you’ve been transported to a summer camp. We could not help but be pleased with how everything flowed. We believe this is a great room to bring first timers in and families that want to expose their children to escape rooms. You will absolutely have a FUN time playing this room, it’s impossible not to smile while visiting Camp Echo!

Final Verdict:

7.6/10
