Escape the House is a newcomer to the Mississauga Escape Room scene. Opened in November of 2015, they are located in a business plaza off of Dixie Rd. Upon entering, the lobby is smaller and boasts a foosball table. The owners did state that they are planning to upgrade the lobby for a more spacious lounging area.

As with The Last Stop Motel, the pre-room experience started in the lobby as we were blindfolded and led into the room. We were then told to keep our blindfolds on while the background story was narrated and we were told that we had been kidnapped by the Zodiac killer. The room design was fairly basic with minimal furniture and some scavenging. The puzzles were more difficult than the Last Stop Motel but still solvable. This room offered a great team building experience as it required a lot of teamwork for many of the puzzles.

Another great feature of this room was the immersion factor. The puzzles tied in well with the story so that you never forgot the story and your objective to escape the room. One really cool fact that was explained to us post-room was that one of the puzzles is actually related to the Zodiac killer case directly. The owners have really done their research to offer a fully immersive experience with The Kill Room.

Final Verdict:

6.9/10
