Roundabout are located on Yonge Street just north of Yonge-Dundas Square. Their entrance is a narrow doorway between two shops so keep your eyes open or you might miss them. Fortunately the owners have said they have plans to make the entrance stand out a little more in the future. Inside, the reception area is a little cramped but serviceable, and the staff are very friendly and clearly enjoy their job which is always a good sign.

The room itself is finished to Roundabout’s usual high standards. The theme is very well executed and you certainly feel the part of a diamond thief. In service of that theme, the room makes heavy use of tech which unfortunately is where some of the problems start to come in. Some of the tech is used very well and adds greatly to the immersion and challenge of the room. Some of it however feels a little gimmicky and seems like it was simply added in an attempt to add to the “cool” factor while not actually contributing anything to the gameplay. The puzzles are mostly challenging but solvable except for one or two which our group found a little obscure. One puzzle in particular has a solution which is open to interpretation and left us somewhat frustrated when our interpretation was not the correct one. On the whole though a good room and we definitely enjoyed ourselves.

Final Verdict:

7.3/10
