When you live in Missouri, Harry Truman dominates every discussion on former Presidents. He may not have been the best, but when he is your own you have a certain level of pride. Breakout KC wisely designed a Truman room specifically for the history buffs of this great city.

Breakout KC is located in the River Market District of Kansas City, and is close to various establishments for food and drinks. Breakout itself does sell water, but for more than that, you can venture out into the River Market.

Upon entering this room you are brought into a different time period and informed that a conspiracy may be taking place. The props are strong, and the challenge may be even stronger. (Having participated in this room previously, I silently watched my team work through the challenges ahead of them.)

The puzzles fit the time period well, and although it was a room with many four digit locks, the team wasn’t overwhelmed by the challenges. Our game master was kind and energetic, as all the staff at Breakout have been during our visits. When our time was up they allowed the team a few seconds to complete the final puzzle.

Although our team was not enthralled by the final challenge, there were some points when they had an absolute blast. This is a challenging room, and should be completed by experienced groups of five or more. Breakout KC does an excellent job understanding their local Truman-loving clientele, and their staff will give you as much assistance as they feel you need.
