Escape Manor Regina can be found downtown, so depending on when you’re coming in, you can look for free street parking if you get in after regular working hours; otherwise, there is pay parking as part of the building. The fully set up bar makes this place a fun to hang out at before and after your room. There are lots of tables with games available, and some fun photo taking opportunities. This is a place you can center your entire night out around.
At the start, we were set up with a lively story line from one of the game masters and led into the room. In there we found another actor! She was to credit for making this room amazing. Her character was phenomenal and had us engaged the entire time. The set design was very good, with a full cabin feel. There were some elements though that had us searching for links to the theme and a couple times the team members were looking for something to do. The props were high quality and very functional. (You have to check out the window, trust me). Teamwork was needed to figure out a couple innovative puzzles. We had a group of five, and those team puzzles definitely helped to keep us all involved. The actor was also pivotal in guiding us in the right right direction if we started spinning in circles, and entertaining us if we were on the hunt for the next clue.
The culmination of all of our work was the best part. We had to work together, including the actor, to get out of the last few steps of the room and it added to the feeling of accomplishment.
This is a good room for everyone, especially if it’s one of your first few rooms since it touches on a lot of classic escape room elements. It has a variety of puzzles to keep everyone interested and some cool features you have to check out. Five people was a bit tight but it worked for us.
Final Verdict: | 7.5/10 |
Out of curiousity, why a 7.5? From the way the reviewer described their experience, it sounds pretty fantastic. What could they have done better?
Hi Amanda, thank you for your response and your great question! It sounds like you may be unfamiliar with our scoring system http://escroomaddict.com/our-scoring-system/ As you can imagine, one of the struggles we often face is the variety of opinions people have on the ‘value’ of a numeric score out of 10. For some, a ‘6’ is good, for others it’s bad… in this case our Toronto ERA team’s scores averaged out to 7.5 which is close to being exceptionally above average.
