We walked into Escape Goat and were pleased to be welcomed in a professional and welcoming lobby. We enjoyed the posters for the games that they currently have available as well as the details in the décor such as a chandelier made out of keys! What we loved most of all were that the owners were so welcoming and easy to talk to which added to our experience and it wasn’t just our group it was all groups that come in. They are fans turned owners and they love to chat the escape room business. Fun detail – be sure to check out the sign in the lobby to see if there are any additional challenges you can do in your room to win a spot on their lock wall!

Before we entered the room, we were briefed by an employee. Once we entered the room, we were immediately fully immersed in the story and our quest. One thing to note about Escape Goat is that they do have in room game masters. Most of us were apprehensive about that, but this is not an awkward experience at all. They are a natural part of the game and storyline.

Before we can even mention game play, we have to mention how well this room is put together and well-maintained. Every part of this room is immersive and contributes to the theme including the ceiling and floor! That’s not evening mentioning the décor! There are so many details in this room, you might not even catch them all on your way through!

As we began to explore and play the game, we were impressed with how much work clearly went into this room. The effects worked flawlessly and were not predictable, when some effects went off we were surprised! When it comes to the puzzles, we appreciated that it was a good mix of puzzles between mental and physical. This room is non-linear which allows for your entire group to find something that plays to their strengths. While the puzzles were similar to things we’ve seen before while playing escape rooms, we admired that they had a themed twist on them to make them blend into the game (and story!) appropriately.
All factors combined “The Quest” will take you and your group to another time and place in an impressive way and you will have to make choices together.
