This was ERA’s first venture to Freeing Station Canada. We found the location a bit difficult to find (odd entrance at the side of a supermarket), but once we entered the facility we found ourselves in one of the nicest lobbies we’ve ever seen! It was spacious, nicely lit with natural & artistic lighting, and a nice cafe with plenty of free popcorn for visitors (and if you’re like me, you can’t help but love free things especially when it’s popcorn!)

The room itself was consistent in theme and the puzzles complemented a strong feeling of immersion. One of the distinguishing points of Mission Incredible is its focus on teambuilding and interactive tasks. We had an issue with one of the puzzles not working properly which was a slight blemish in an otherwise incredible experience. Being watchful and aware of your surroundings is definitely advisable when tackling this room. So would I recommend Mission Incredible? Definitely! I loved the strong teambuilding component, the consistent theme, the solid immersion, and I really enjoyed that it required some keen observational skills. This room works best for groups of 4-6 and is equally suited for novice to experienced players. It’s also ideal for those who seek more than just puzzles in their escape room experience. Those with mobility or coordination issues may wish to pass on this room.

As always, happy escaping!

What’s the matter with you? We tried this room and the clues are totally random and don’t make sense at all

Hi Jason, it’s true there will always be individual tastes and preferences when it comes to escape rooms. The ERA team always reviews collectively as a team to ensure the reviews reflect the group as a whole and not one person’s opinions or bias. In Mission Incredible’s case, we were graciously allowed to have 2 ERA teams review this room at different times and in both cases everyone loved it. We didn’t experience the hard to understand clues and very much enjoyed the teambuilding nature of the room… Don’t give up on Freeing Canada though you may not have enjoyed this room – you’re bound to see why the Toronto ERA team lists their rooms among our personal favourites!
